Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find lesson schedules?
You can find the schedule on our Homepage, scroll down under the registration form. The schedule is updated on a monthly basis.
Can I join if I never danced in my life?
Yes, you definitely can! Check out our schedule to know when is the appropriate level and where you can sign up. Beginner friendly classes are: Beginner, Open Level, All Levels and 1st Quarters. You do not need any dance experience to start attending the classes.
How does your class system work?
It all depends of the course. Cuban Dance Academy has an academic teaching structure. A full course of 1 year is split into 4 sessions of 3 months program. At the end of each session, we have a test with a certificate that allows you to move to the next session. You can learn more about Cuban Dance Academy here.
Other courses have different levels to attend: Beginner – one year, Improver – one to two years, Intermediate – students with more than one to three years of dancing, Advanced – for students with more than four to six years of dancing. Which group you should attend, you should discuss with your teacher, as not only years of experience are taking in consideration, but rather your skill-set.
How much do classes cost?
It depends on the course you take. We have different types of memberships, depending on course type and duration. You can find our prices here.
I want to go out and dance Salsa, Bachata, and Zouk. Where can I do that?
Here you can find our parties BAILAMALTA PARTIES Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with parties, workshops and other events!
Do I need to come with a partner?
It is not compulsory as on our partnered classes (like salsa, bachata and zouk) we are frequently changing partners, which helps students to learn. If you would like to bring your partner, friend or colleague it’s awesome too!
What should I wear?
You should wear comfortable clothing which allow you to move freely, and indoor shoes (e.g. trainers you only use for the gym, dance shoes). Do not forget water!
