Company Description

Baila Malta was created by Mirko Abbracciavento – thanks to more than 15 years of experience in Salsa and Bachata World learned in Italy. In 2014 he started teaching Salsa and Bachata in Malta, a new concept was born. As the ever-growing demand for courses on the island increased, Mirko invested in the expansion of the variety of styles offered by his school, and in 2021 he started a partnership with highly qualified teacher Prof. Famoso Salvador Rodriguez, qualified at the Dance Academy in Cuba. Together they are investing in various other services (animations, parties, shows, events).

The continuous training of the team is at the heart of the project. Baila Malta’s mission is to expand the world of Latin dancing in Malta, connecting as many dancers as possible. We are one big family and want to give everybody the chance to socialize and meet new people. Our goal is to leverage the world of dance to bring positivity, health, and well-being to everyone’s lives. This is why we surround ourselves with highly-trained professional staff who have a wealth of knowledge and skills, in order to manage the courses and events on the island.

Digital Marketing Assistant – Internship

What you will get from us
In this unique and professional dance company, you will be part of a small team and
be mentored directly by an experienced professional. You will learn how to manage
and perform digital marketing-related tasks and about how to run a successful
business in the dance industry.

Remuneration – please note that this internship is unpaid, however you will get:
– Free access to 10+ hours of dance lesson per week
– Tallinja (transport) card paid for
– Free access to all Baila Malta parties

Tasks & Responsibilities
– Content writing of company marketing: Social Media (Facebook & Instagram)
– Page & group management
– Paid ads
– Online lead generation
– Website management: update as required (WordPress)
– Any other duties as required by the CEO

What we need from you
– Good level of English (minimum B2)
– Team player willing to bring ideas to the table
– Understanding of ICT such as WordPress
– Working knowledge of social media back-end
– A commitment of minimum 6 months, 20 hours/week

Assistant to the Director – Internship

What you will get from us

– In this unique and professional dance company, you will be part of a small team and be
mentored directly by an experienced professional. You will learn how to manage and
perform administrative and managerial tasks, and about how to run a successful business in
the dance industry.

Remuneration – Please note that this internship is unpaid, however, you will get:
– Free access to 10+ hours of dance lesson per week

– Free access to all Baila Malta parties

Tasks & Responsibilities

– Inquiry management
– Administration Duties
– Events management
– Offline Lead generation – clients and events placements. Card with their name on it.

What we need from you

– Good level of English (minimum B2)
– Self-starter, willing to bring ideas to the table and work independently
– Good organizational skills
– Great communication skills
– Attention to detail
– A commitment of a minimum 6 months, 20 hours/week

“I’m currently a second-year student in a French business school and for my second semester, I had to find an internship abroad. What I was looking for in this internship was to contribute to the growth of a company and learn new things through this experience. Mostly, I was looking for an environment in which I would feel good. And honestly, I think I found the right place.

Working for Baila Malta is a double opportunity for me. I work as Digital Marketing Assistant and I really like what I do because the tasks are varied, and I learn a lot. But more than my duties as marketing assistant, I can learn and practice dance. I’ve been practicing dance for sixteen years, modern jazz for 14 years and dancehall for 2 years. Before coming here, I had never practiced salsa or other dances offered by Baila Malta. So, it’s a real pleasure to discover new styles of dances.

Regarding the environment in which I work and grow, all the people I’ve met are friendly. I immediately felt integrated into the company, surrounded by people who wanted to help me grow and who are attentive to my well-being in this company. I feel involved and like I really take part in the development of this school. As soon as I met Mirko and he explained to me how the school works and the future projects, I immediately knew that I would like working for Baila Malta. It is a project that I like and that is led by people with whom I share the same vision.
